Fall 2026 Youth League - Competitive Play

This fall the youth league is shifting toward a more competitive format. Instead of one group stretching from first-timers to kids who've been playing a while, the league will be built around players who already know how to keep score and can show they've got the basics down, forehand, backhand, serve, and dinks....the stuff you need before you can actually compete.

In practice that means the nights will look and feel like real competition, not open play with coaching mixed in. Structured matches, real scorekeeping, and junior players ready to take it to the court. Kids who are brand new to pickleball will need to pick up the fundamentals somewhere else first, whether that's a clinic, a friend showing them the ropes, or a few lessons, before this is going to be the right fit for them.

Newcomers won't be left out.  We still want new players to learn the sport.  Please go ahead and register them as beginners because we'd love to run some free clinics, lessons, and drills to introduce them to pickleball.  If they like it and want to practice, kids pick up the game quickly and they can be compete in future seasons.  By providing your info, we can reach out to you for beginner opportunities.

The exact shape the league takes, round robin, ladder, head-to-head brackets, whatever format ends up making sense, will come down to how many experienced players actually sign up. A small group plays differently than a big one, so the format isn't locked in yet. It'll get built around whoever shows interest, once there's a real sense of the numbers.
